He chases all over the country, but local stations that utilize his services are 104.3 WZYP on the radio and WAFF48 on TV in the Huntsville market. He is also a huge sports enthusiast! He loves anything to do with Braves baseball and University of Alabama athletics!

I am the founder and owner of LSM and have been documenting storms for two decades. I’ve got a B.A. in Meteorology and currently operated as a field meteorologist for Weather Nation. I’m a husband, a father, and a lover of weather!

Ryan’s interest in weather came from April 8, 1998 when a large F5 ripped through his community and leveled his high school. Ryan started chasing in 2000 locally and have since expanded all over the country. If there is severe weather in his market, you can catch him providing field reports/phoners for WBRC 6. When Ryan is not covering the weather, you can find him taking cruises, camping, off-road racing, taking road trips, and running with the fire department. His two regular jobs consists of driving a wrecker and barback/security at a live music venue.
